Here’s Why I Wrote This.
My story, like many of the parables Jesus told, is one of struggle, redemption, and purpose. I grew up facing pain and fear no child should ever know. Abuse, uncertainty, and survival shaped much of my early life. I watched my mother and brother endure the same, often wondering how we made it through.
But, just like the stories Jesus shared, my journey didn’t end in brokenness—it became a story of hope.
Along the way, people of faith stepped into my life. They believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. They showed me that grace is real, that healing is possible, and that even the hardest seasons can lead to something beautiful.
That’s what Pondering the Parables is all about: slowing down, reflecting deeply, and discovering how the teachings of Jesus can bring light into even the darkest corners of our lives.
I was a victim of pain, but I am not defined by it. Today, I’m a husband, a father, and a follower of Jesus—grateful for the chance to share what I’ve learned and to walk alongside others seeking truth, hope, and healing.
