TRUE STORY!
Not everyone is an EGGs-pert
While at the supermarket recently I overheard two ladies discussion regarding which eggs were the best value.
In a genuine effort to help, I hear one woman say to the other, “I get the white eggs. Not sure if it matters to you but they are bleached and taste great.”
You might be a city slicker if you believe your eggs are bleached! WOW!
FACT:
Eggs are white because the base color of an eggshell is naturally white, made primarily from calcium carbonate, and the color variation comes from pigments added by the hen depending on her breed; hens with white earlobes typically lay white eggs, while brown hens lay brown eggs, meaning the color difference is purely based on genetics and not a result of any external process like bleaching.
Be careful about the advice you take!
Not everyone is a subject matter EGGs-pert or a great coach!
